Our special guest on the “Boys in Blue” podcast today is soon to be 3rd term Sheriff of Gila County, AZ, SHERIFF ADAM SHEPHERD. To Sheriff Shepherd, law enforcement has been a calling on his life rather than just a career. Starting as a patrol deputy with Gila County, Sheriff Shepherd worked his way up the ranks to the position of Under Sheriff before being elected as Gila County Sheriff in 2012 . Along this journey Sheriff Shepherd took advantage of opportunities to make himself a more proficient officer………becoming a Certified Paramedic, fire arms instructor, baton instructor, commercial airplane pilot, Certified Diver and member of the underwater dive team, as well becoming proficient in the area of IT and policy /procedures. Sheriff Shepherd has some amazing stories of his days on the road and Search & Rescue missions as part of the underwater dive team…ENJOY!!!!
